Лаборатория (в 1959-1967 гг. – лаборатория синтеза физиологически активных соединений, с 1967 г. – лаборатория гетероциклических соединений) была основана В.П. Мамаевым, впоследствии чл.-корр. АН СССР и в 1975-1987 гг. директором НИОХ. В 1987-2001 гг. лабораторий заведовал д.х.н. О.П. Шкурко, с 2001 г. – д.х.н. А.В. Зибарев, с  11.10.2022 - к.х.н.  Н.А. Семенов

  • Studies focused on chemistry of nitrogen and chalcogen-nitrogen π-heterocycles, including polyfluorinated derivatives, radicals and ion-radicals; elaboration of synthesis methods;
  • investigation of the molecular and electronic structure and reactivity; searching for the potential fields of application in materials science and biomedicine.
